I have a purple kitten. She smells oddly like grape Kool-Aid.

I was totally kidding about that. And now I have a purple kitten. My hermit crab did die a while ago but...now I need to name her. And train her to not rub up against my face. Do cats try to sleep with people under sheets? Having to wear clothes would be sort of inconvenient. I haven't had a cat other than Catseye sleep with me since I manifested.

Anyone have name suggestions? Otherwise I'm naming her Leah after my favorite female sculptor.

Leah's the birth name of Louise Nevelson who did Transparent Horizons (http://www.artandperception.com/v01/wp-content/uploads/2007/10/aplouisenevelsontransparenthorizon1975.JPG), my journal name. I thought about Artemisia after Artemisia Gentileschi but I'm not sure I want to encourage kitty to slit men's throats, even if Holofernes probably deserved it.

You just said a bunch of art stuff that I'm pretty sure is really cool, I just didn't understand most of it. That sculpture's pretty sweet, though. I still like Leah. It's way easier to say than Artemisia.

Yes. I think she got dropped in grape Kool-Aid. Which is sort of my fault but I didn't think he would do it. Now she needs a name. And to be trained not to come near my skin. I wear enough clothes for girls, it's not fair having to wear them for the kitty too.

I don't know, I think cats kind of have a mind of their own and if it wants to be all "pet me, pet me!" it's just going to that. Also cats like to run up to you and rub themselves against your legs or do the headbutt thing. And sleep on your head and purr in your face. Just so you know.

I jokingly asked him for a purple cat as a condition of being his minion. (What, I miss Cats coming and stealing me to nap with.)

I know they are trainable, though. I've read things on the internet. You can leash train them and train them to use the toilet instead of a litter box and train them to not jump on stuff they shouldn't. So theoretically I should be able to train her to avoid the skin, right? (Also, you are so not helping here and being not useful will not get you my kitty.)

I am too helping! I'm not going to be all rude and stuff, but I'm also not going to lie. And all of that training stuff, like not jumping up on a table? Generally that's the cat does the bad thing and then it's "No, bad kitty!" and the cat learns not to do it. And here, well, I guess you kind of more need to teach the kitty to avoid touching you, period. But I don't really know about training animals, so maybe there's a way to teach just avoiding skin. I mean, I hope there is, you know?

Persephone was the one who Hades kidnapped and she spent half the year in the underworld and when she came out Spring happened, right? Only she'd go back in during the autumn and that's why everything died. Queen of the Underworld is probably sort of fitting since she's my cat.

I've only found one non-destructive use of my mutation so it's kind of hard to reference it without being morbid. Persephone, Kitty Queen of the Death Touch realm. But what would I call her for short?
